Aberdeen family travel blog – I love to travel, be it long haul, local day trips or city breaks. With Scotland and its countryside on our doorstep we’re in a prime position for outdoor adventures. Travel has always been one of my favourite past times and passions. Then two children came along. Everything changed. Yet in many respects I haven’t changed. I just have to do things very, very differently.
This blog passes on some of our favourite destinations and what worked as parents, and what didn’t. Tips, ideas and suggestions that could make your next holiday a bit more relaxed. There’s a whole world out there I want to explore with my children and I hope you feel the same way.
My background: I grew up in Scotland, graduated in Glasgow then spent three years researching features television for STV. From there I moved to become a television director and script writer at the BBC creating Arts and History documentaries. After eleven years at the Beeb I spent three years in PR representing clients such as Visit Aberdeen and Visit Cairngorms, before finally going freelance in May 2016. And here we are!

Well said! Couldn’t agree more..hope to show my girls as much as I can. Traveling may be different with kids, but it’s still very much possible.

It’s never a ‘holiday’ any more but you can still get so much out of it. 🙂

You just have to go for it don’t you? It’s not like you’ll get a long lie on holiday like the old days but I enjoy seeing the kids try new things.
