Christmas Breaks in Scotland for the Family – We’ve made memories staying at the Macdonald Aviemore Resort several times so thought we’d share news of their 2024 festive Santa weekends. The resort is VERY family friendly with a pool, flume, wave machine, 4-storey soft play, cinema showing all the latest releases and several child friendly restaurants. It also offer self-catering woodland lodges. Plus Aviemore and the surrounding area offers so much for kids to see and do. It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas…

SANTA BREAKS – Christmas Breaks in Scotland for the Family

Macdonald Aviemore Resort is preparing to welcome children to their popular Santa Breaks this winter as the festive mini-breaks return to the venue. Continuing the resort’s 50-year-plus reputation as a location for festive fun, this year will see Santa Weekend guests welcomed across four consecutive weekends with arrivals on November 29th, December 6th, 13th and 20th 2024.

Following high demand, and catering particularly for families with pre-school children, the resort is hosting two Santa mid-week breaks this year. These three-night breaks will include all the magic but are lighter on the pocket. Guests can choose to arrive on Monday 2nd or 16th December 2024.

After young guests check-in they can welcome Santa on his grand arrival, visit Santa in his grotto and receive a gift (for children aged 12 and under), join in activites in the Elves’ Workshop, meet the Cairngorm Reindeer, watch the big Christmas Pant (Beauty and the Beast), watch a festive film in the resort cinema, dine on festive themed dinners each night, including Santa’s Mediterranean Feast, a Round-the-World Buffet, and the Big Roast Dinner.

Festive entertainment is put on, plus guests can access the pool and receive a 30% discount off the community ice rink (located on the resort), before retiring to a 4-star family guest room.

Lowdown – Macdonald Aviemore Resort Santa Weekend prices are from £299 per family of four per night, based on four-star accommodation for a three-night dinner, bed and breakfast stay.  Midweek Santa Breaks start from £239 per family of four, per night. For further information, click here.

FAMILY CHRISTMAS BREAKS – Christmas Breaks in Scotland for the Family

Do something different this Christmas. Running from 24-27 December 2024, the Family Christas Break offers the same Santa visits, gifts, elves, festive meals and reindeer as the Santa Break but over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day itself.

FAMILY HOGMANAY BREAKS

The Macdonald Aviemore Resort also has two family Hogmanay packages available. Depending on the age of your little ones, choose between the Family Hogmanay Break and the Toddler Hogmanay Break.
